I work with glaze on a series of fine plates and bowls, looking for contrasts and movements of matter in my pieces. During lockdown I explored glazes more and more, wanting to create unique, “deep” colours, as the ceramic artist Emmanuel Boos puts it so well.

I then noticed that during firing, the pieces live a life of their own. Every time, the reactions of these glazes amaze me. I accept the unexpected, and even long for it.
